I’ve said before how I won’t pick apart the movie, but I keep thinking about that one scene in BoRhap where Freddie’s just moved in to Garden Lodge and begs Rog to stay for dinner & how Roger says no, he has to get back to his family, and how it just doesn’t match up with real life at all. The Roger who stayed up all hours of the night and morning drinking earl grey and playing Scrabble with Freddie — who sat in garden lodge playing with trains with Brian & Freddie on Christmas Day, all while Jim watched them play like “big hairy kids” — who screeched back and forth with Freddie before shows to warm up and calm their nerves, and sat around with him giggling over who-knows-what — That Roger would never have left Freddie alone that night.
